  1. First trucking company I ever worked for. they were on 39th and Cicero at the time though. I worked there from 1979 to 1981 but was laid off quite frequently. Laid off once going out the door to my wife who was in labor with my first son. this company prepared me to work at any other trucking company. I was told that “If you worked at Liberty, you could work anywhere”.Old man Baranco was quite a character. Not a very good people person and treated workers like crap. But I thank him for giving me my start in trucking. Been a Teamster for 33 years now. Nice to see this post here.
