  1. Hello. Your website is so enjoyable; thank you. I believe Met L station in this picture is Logan Square. I am guessing some, but I’ve seen other pictures of it, and this one looks similar.
Also, I have some old photos that my grandparents took, some from Chicago, others from Aurora and the Chicago area. If I scanned them, would you be interested in putting them up on your site. Just a thought, but it seems they might fit.

    • Hi Jim,

Always nice to gain such perceptive readers as you.

      I always welcome reader submissions.

I can’t promise I will include anything, but if a picture is of decent quality and has a subject of interest I certainly would include and credit the submission.

There are some reader submissions on my Chuckman’s Places site.

Send anything you think would work to this e-mail address.

I hate seeing old stuff lost.

      Very appreciative of your comments,

      John Chuckman

  2. Yes, this is the Logan Square Terminal of the “Logan Square Branch” route of the Metropolitan Elevated Rail System. I was involved in the demolition of this structure after the line was extended to O’Hare. This picture was taken before 1928 when the station entry was extended and added below and in front of the ground level on the right side as one looks at the picture. The terminal car shops were in the structure to the left on the upper level. A branch of the Banco Popular now occupies the old station entry structure The street address is 2525 N. Kedzie.
