    But note this picture. Before 1927, there was nothing here and then in 1927, what is now the Old Republic building appeared. Later, shortly after, on the empty space, another building was built just to the north.

    This picture just duplicated the Old Republic building.

    This is hilarious and fascinating. You have more than you know.

    Leigh, this kind of thing is common with old postcards. They often either drew in things that were not there or montaged other images in, and, of course, the various forms of coloring created all kinds of results.

    There are many examples through the collection.
