  1. What a shock! There’s my grandmother –Mildred Holmstrom, walking across the street(she’s in center front of picture,wearing dark coat, with silver-white hair). She worked at Encyclopedia Britannica on Michigan Ave until she was in her mid eighties, but was always “bumming” around downtown. Made me smile.
    Thanks for your work preserving pictures of old Chicago.
